AdeReport: Let Us Meet You
Adekemi: My name is Adeniyi Adekemi Grace
I'm from osun state, ilesa precisely, I'm christian , , I graduated from osun state polytechnic Iree, HND in Accounting.
Now a Professional Makeup artist
AdeReport: HOW DID YOU START YOUR MAKEUP BUSINESS?
Adekemi: I started immediately I finished my NYSC
I started the training at Ado
and Paush beauty school osogbo
I did my Upgrading at House Of Tara International and I registered with them as Sales Rep.
AdeReport: WHAT WERE THE START-UP CHALLENGES YOU FACED AND HOW DID YOU
Adekemi: The challenges is not easy , bcs im new person in the business, but I gat no choice bcs I have passion for it and have makeup my mind that no matters all the challenges, I will never be a loser I will win , it may not be immediately but Definitely
The first challenges was Capital but I make sure that I cut my cloth according to my size ,
Second challenges was customers relation , you know diff people with different character ,
To God be the Glory, with prayers, patient , and God Grace, I'm moving and doing well with the biz and still working and hoping yo get there one day.
AdeReport: WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION FOR STARTING UP THE BUSINESS?
Adekemi: I soo much belief on Entrepreneur and business has been part of me since I was in the primary school.
There is this particular place I used to fix my nails in Ado, (Kate nails) I went there one weekend to fix my nails and I was there when she wanted to close , that day she counted her sales for that day it was 23,400, she didn't know that I was counting the money with her in my mind, I can't hold it I asked her that Aunth Kate don't tell me this is what you make for today's sales , she said yes that she even had a dull sales , I couldn't hold myself anymore, I started calculating that amount multiply by days to know her average sales for month , I could not sleep when I get home , I just makeup my mind that I will learn this work , I called her she even taught I was joking , the next Monday I went there to know my bill and I started the class immediate effect , I can bodily says that I started with just nails , before makeup, manicure and boutique added to it.
AdeReport: HOW DO YOU SATISFY YOUR CLIENTS?
Adekemi: My clients are my Priority
Without them I'm nothing , so I make sure they are number one, by making them comfortable, give them good reception and appreciate them with greetings , to crown it all , I give them best services that they can't get in other places.
AdeReport: WHAT PART OF YOUR JOB DO YOU FIND TASKING OR UNENJOYABLE?
Adekemi: Hummmmm, Makeup for Party Guests
AdeReport: HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH DIFFICULT SITUATION AND CLIENTS?
Adekemi: With Prayers all things are possible and with patient difficult clients can be handle, I will just keep my mute and be thinking how to control the situation bcs o will not want the situation to control me
AdeReport: WHAT IS THE TOP MAKEUP TREND FOR BRIDE’S?
Adekemi: Contouring and Highlighting
AdeReport: WHAT SINGLE MAKEUP PRODUCT IS MOST IMPORTANT FOR A BRIDE TO HAVE ON HER WEDDING DAY?
Adekemi: Powder.
AdeReport: WHAT SETS YOU APART FROM OTHER MAKEUP ARTIST AND WHERE DO YOU SEE YOUR BRAND IN 10 YEARS TIME?
Adekemi: Firstly I'm not fake and i will never go for any fake product
I want to see my Brand worldwide
Secondly I'm not just makeup artist I'm a teacher
AdeReport: WHAT’S YOUR ADVICE FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO GO INTO MAKEUP BUSINESS BUT DOESNT KNOW HOW?
Adekemi: Anybody that doesn't have passion for makeup should not go in to it bcs when the challenges comes he or she will feed up
To people that have passion for it , all you need is well determined , focus , and be prayerful , ans God will crown all our effort , Ittos a good business .
Lastly, pls and pls, don't learn from quark makeup artist ooo, pls learn from Good one, professional makeup artist with Class , it's not all about big studio, or big names , its about the work of that person and what can people says about his or her and the work of their hand.
